  • L’Hitraot from Rabbi Kirschen

On behalf of NFTY in Israel, again thank you for sharing your remarkable young people with us this summer. It was privilege to learn with them, take care of them, and grow with them over these past weeks. Rabbi Isaac in the Talmud said, "I have learned much from my teachers, and even more from my friends, but the most I have learned, is from are my students.” We have learned much from these participants this summer, and now that they are home, we are sure you will too.

  • Tonight we celebrate and remember the Highlights of our NFTY trip to Israel

The last days of the trip are designed to inspire memories for a lifetime. Creating Jewish memories is what NFTY in Israel is all about. Our hope is to create Jewish memories that inspire the participants to feel a part of the Jewish Community and to feel a commitment to its future as happy, proud members and maybe even a leader in the next generation of our people – L'Dor V'Dor (from Generation to Generation).

  • Sea 2 Sea

All in all, sea to sea was a very memorable experience. The hiking, the night activities, and even the food made this one of my favorite parts of my Israel trip. It's something I'll never forget. I almost wish I could do it again.

  • Tzfat and the mystical aspects of Lecha Dodi and Tikkun Olam

Today the group completed the Chavaya experiences. These were four-day activities during which the students explored an "Interest Project" with a like-minded group of friends. The choices were; Gadna, an Israel Defense Force immersion; Tikkun Olam Social Justice projects; and a Hike from the Sea of Galilee to the Mediterranean Sea. This evening with the Chavaya experiences concluded and the student will re-Group as before and share presentations with each other about what they experienced in the "Chavaya" programs.

  • Traveling Through Time

This week was a tremendous learning experience as we learned about the ancient times in Jerusalem, visited the western wall, had fun experiences with a water hike, and rode a camel. I thoroughly enjoyed this week’s events and can’t wait to see what next week has in store.
