Dan holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Jewish Professional Leadership from Brandeis University’s Hornstein Program, where he was named a Wexner Graduate Fellow/Davidson Scholar. He joined the URJ in 2014, and has overseen professional development, international staffing, safety, security, and other programmatic and operational aspects for our network of 16 camps and nearly 120 full time employees in our youth system.
Coordinator, NFTY in Israel
Dan has been a member of the NFTY in Israel team since 2009, serving as the registrar before moving into his current role. He holds a degree in Jewish studies and philosophy from McGill University in Montreal. In his spare time, Dan enjoys cooking, ultimate frisbee, and reading about physics and space. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Amy, and their cat, Archer.

Ilana graduated from Goucher College with a degree in Communications and Media Studies and a minor in Political Science. Throughout High School she was actively involved in NFTY and was a participant on NFTY in Israel and Mitzvah Corps. Since joining the URJ Teen Travel Programs team in 2016, Ilana has since helped register over 1,300 teens for a NFTY in Israel summer and staffed Birthright.

Denise has served URJ Teen Travel Programs since 2006. She is a Lehman College Certified Business Bookkeeper and Assistant Accountant; also, as a notary public, she has over 30 years of experience in accounting and auditing. Denise sits on the Board of Directors of the Warwick Lions Club, is a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and is an avid community activist. Married to her high school sweetheart for over 30 years, she has two children and four grandchildren.

|Rabbi Richard Kirschen
Director, NFTY in Israel
Rich Kirschen was ordained as a rabbi by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1996. Before making Aliyah (moving) to Israel, he served as the executive director of the Hillel Foundation at Brown University in Providence, RI. Prior to that, he was the associate director at the University of Michigan Hillel in Ann Arbor, MI. Rich has worked in the field of informal education for over thirty years.
Associate Director, NFTY in Israel
Ruby was born and raised in Israel. He served in the IDF for 4 years in a Commanders position for a special unit. Following his service, Ruby became a certified tour guide. Ruby has worked for NFTY in Israel every summer since 1984. In 2000, Ruby became the Director of Operations & Budgets, before becoming the Associate Director. He is married with two kids.
|Rabbi David Wilfond
Director of Education
Rabbi David Wilfond, MS, MAHL, was ordained a Rabbi at HUC in 1997. An international Rabbi, David served as the Rabbi at synagogues in London, UK, Kiev, Ukraine, Boston, USA, and of the Hebrew Union College Synagogue in Jerusalem, Israel. David also is the Head of Admissions at Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem. David made Aliyah in 2004 and lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three Gingy children.
Yudit has served URJ Teen Travel Programs since 2012. After graduation from Barnard College, she made aliya to Israel. She has held varied administrative positions over the years and finds great satisfaction in sharing her love of Israel with cohorts of our future leaders and members of the American Jewish community.
