Request NFTY in Israel Promotional Materials
As people who care about the Jewish future, we use every tool and skill available to create meaningful Jewish memories. The crisis of Jewish identity in our young people demands nothing less. So much is at stake. The NFTY in Israel programs for teens as a “rite of passage” has become recognized by hundreds of Reform congregations as one of our most potent, powerful and transformative Jewish growth experiences. Our young people have wonderful Israel adventures of fun and friendship, and return home feeling proud of themselves and their people and their Jewish identity.
NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth), Reform Judaism’s youth affiliate, has joined in partnership with the congregations of the Reform Movement to turn the “dream of Israel” into reality for your teens.
At present, almost 400 URJ congregations are distributing free NFTY $250Bar/Bat Mitzvah certificates on the bima, redeemable for participation in one of the many superior NFTY programs in Israel. These certificates send a very effective message to your young people and their parents – theirBar/Bat Mitzvah is not the end of their Jewish education. If your congregation is not distributing these certificates, call or email your Rabbi and ask them to! There is no cost to your congregation to distribute these certificates.
For questions about certificate requests, please contact our bursar, Denise Bulnes, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (845) 987-6300 ext. 6354.
Please note that these certificates are only for use on a NFTY in Israel program and may not be used for a URJ Youth Program or Camp. The certificates may not be used for an Israel program run by an organization other than NFTY.
If you are a teen or parent of a teen who has received a certificate and you need additional information about how to use the certificate, please email email@example.com.
Nominate a Teen
We need your help in identifying teens who would most benefit from a NFTY in Israel summer program. As you identify who in your congregation might be interested, please complete the nomination form and we will follow up with them.
