My Favorite Things

By Aaron Cherry, NFTY in Israel Participant, Bus 3

My trip to Israel this summer has been an amazing experience, and one I will remember for the rest of my life. One of my favorite things we did was spend a night at the Bedouin tents. We drank tea, rode camels, and learned about their culture. It was really unique and something I’d love to do again. Another thing I really enjoyed was visiting the Western Wall. It was as if I was touching history, and I felt really connected to God in that space. My most favorite thing was meeting the Israelis. We made friendships that will last for a lifetime and it was as if we were family. I learned so much about their culture, and found even though we live on opposite ends of the world, we are not so different after all. I have such an appreciation for this country and can not wait to come back 🙂
